As a supporter of Children Of Hope, we want to take this opportunity to invite you to Children of Hope’s 2nd Annual Spring Gala with guest speaker Ilyasah Shabazz, daughter of Malcolm X.

Ilyasah was only two years old and present when her father died on Feb 21st, 1965. Malcolm X’s examples of self respect and dignity continue to inspire people from all backgrounds and nationalities to truly believe in equality, justice and freedom. Ilyasah strived to earn a Master’s degree and is currently the Director of Public Relations for Mount Vernon, New York. She is committed to developing educational programs that foster self-empowerment and to expanding the role of government to teach individual responsibility for improving society. Ilyasah continues to champion her father’s passion for civil rights and was recently nominated for a NAACP award. She is also a recognized humanitarian, author and lecturer.
