Telethon Of Hope – 2008

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Telethon of Hope held by Children of Hope. The Telethon will air on CityTV’s ‘Eye on Asia Program, Sat Sept 20th & Sun Sep 21st, 2008. The program begins on both days at 10am and our goal is to raise $100,000.

Over the past two years, thanks to your generosity we have been able to send funds to support the education of 150 South Asian earthquake orphans living at the SOS Children’s Village in Pakistan.

This year, we are pleased to announce our new initiative in Guyana, where we will be funding the education of another 50 orphan children.

These children are currently attending school and range from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 10. The funds will pay for their school fees, full set of course text books and stationary, school uniforms, shoes, backpacks and transportation fees.

This years Telethon of Hope 2008, will feature our special guests, Justin Trudeau, Toronto Mayor David Miller, Ontario PC Leader John Tory, York Regional Police Chief Armand La Barge, Deputy Minister, Govt. Of Ontario, Fareed Amin and many more!

We would like to thank the hundreds of donors from across the country who have supported us over the past couple of years and we look forward to your continued support.

Children of Hope is carrying out this fundraising effort in conjunction with two organizations: International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF) and SOS Children’s Villages – Pakistan.

We urge you to donate generously towards this noble cause.
